How to fulfill FBA with the Replenishment Report
The Replenishment Report in Linnworks warehouse management (powered by SkuVault) shows which products have dipped below the quantity you want to hold, then lets you act on it. From the report, you can create a purchase order, generate a pick list, or click Create FBA Shipment to send the details to Amazon.
For Amazon FBA sellers, that means you don’t have to leave the app and bounce back and forth to Seller Central to replenish shipments. This guide explains what the report does, how to run it, and what to set up first. For the storage and restock limits that make replenishment planning matter, see our guide to Amazon FBA inventory management.
What is the Replenishment Report?
The Replenishment Report is a customizable report that you run based on sales history or on minimum and maximum levels you set. It tells you what to reorder when stock runs low. It works across three report types (reorder, replenish, and assembly) and several methods for deciding quantities: sales forecasting, reorder point, maximum and minimum order quantity (MOQ), and Just in Time. It is part of the reporting and stock forecasting tools in Linnworks.
Example: topping up low stock
Say you want to keep 10 of an item in stock at all times, but you only have three. The report notifies you of the low quantity and lets you click a button to replenish it. It is an automatic process driven by the rules you set.
Example: balancing two warehouses
If one warehouse has too much of an item and another doesn’t have enough, the report lets you create an order to remove quantity from the first warehouse. You then receive that quantity into the second warehouse separately. Your quantities update automatically, so you can see the newly available stock in each location.
How to use the Replenishment Report
- Open the report. In the menu on the left, go to Reports and choose Replenishment Report.
- Choose your settings. Pick the report type, the method, and the warehouses you want to include.
- Filter the results. You can filter by sales channel, the sales history dates to use, and suppliers, along with other options that fit your reordering process.
- Generate the report. Once your values are set, run it.
- Take action. From the report, generate a purchase order or a pick list, or click Create FBA Shipment.
Run the report at least once or twice a week. Many sellers run it more often during their peak season.
Create FBA shipments from the report
The Create FBA Shipment button works through our open API, which connects with Amazon’s Seller Central API. When you click it, we send Amazon the information about what you want to ship, and Amazon sends back the shipment and pick list details. You no longer need to leave the app to replenish FBA stock.
Before you run the report
- The values behind your chosen method, such as MOQ, reorder points, or Just in Time, are set on the products in your catalog, and they affect the results. Check them before you run the report.
- To use Create FBA Shipment, your FBA SKUs must be set as the Primary SKU.
