Installation and setup

There are two types of packages available

  • Linnworks Anywhere
  • Linnworks Local Instance (Deprecated 8th July 2013)

Linnworks Anywhere

Linnworks Anywhere is a cloud based solution. You still have to install a thin client on your PC in order to utilize the full potential of the rich application interface, but the majority of the work is done by our servers (we call them cloud instances). So basically all the user interface bits are a desktop application which is designed to run under Windows operating system, but will quite happily run under Mac in Parallel mode as well, although we don't officially support Mac. And all the database stuff, crunching and so on is done on our server.

See Linnworks Anywhere Installation Guide

Linnworks Local

Linnworks can no longer be installed by new customers, if you already have Linnworks Local installed please refer to the following documentation on migrating your database to our anywhere package

See Migrating from Linnworks Local to Anywhere

Install

To download and install the software you have to create an account in Account Management, login and download the installer.

System Requirements

  • Any version of Microsoft Windows operating system for a personal computer, which is currently supported by Microsoft. Windows 10 is recommended. All Windows updates must be installed.
  • To function properly, the software requires an operating system that supports TLS 1.2 or newer. Because of that, it will not work properly on Windows operating systems older than Windows 7 SP1.
  • .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and .NET Framework 4.8 runtimes. All Windows updates related to these runtimes must be installed.
  • At least 2 GB of RAM. More is better.
  • At least 2 Mbps of the Internet speed. More is better.
