AspDotNetStorefront Inventory Mapping

Overview

Inventory Mapping allows Linnworks to map stock item to a live listings, so Linnworks can accurately adjust the listing stock levels. Most Mapping screens work by communicating with the channel, to get a live feed of your active listings, allowing you to view them in Linnworks, and map them appropriately.

 

Prerequsites

1. An Integrated AspDotNetStorefont account
2. The AspDotNetStorefont account needs to have live listings for Linnworks to map to
3. Some inventory items in Linnworks

 

Quick Guide

Here's the quick version of the instructions, for those that are already comfortable with performing such installations. If you require full instructions please refer to the Detailed Guide

1. Go to Settings -> Channel integration
2. Open the Inventory Mapping screen
3. Link AspDotNetStorefont listings to Linnworks inventory
4. Check Sync Status

 

Detailed Guide

1. Settings -> Channel Integration

  • Click Settings -> Channel Integration. (Fig 1.1)

2. Open the Inventory Mapping Screen

  • Click on Mapping button for the required channel in the Inventory Mapping column (Fig 2.1)
  • The Inventoy Mapping screen will be displayed

3. Link AspDotNetStorefont listings to Linnworks Inventory

The following details the different methods that an be used to map listings to inventory (Fig 3.1)

Link All by SKU

  • Right-Click on any listing in the Inventory Mapping screen
  • Select Link All by SKU
  • Linnworks will compare the SKU's provided by the channel to the SKU's in the Linnworks Inventory and automatically create a link

Create new stock item

  • Right-Click on the required listing in the Inventory Mapping screen
  • Select Create new stock item
  • Linnworks will create a new inventory item based on the information provided by the channel 
 

Create All

  • Right-Click on any listing in the Inventory Mapping screen
  • Select Create All
  • Linnworks will create a new inventory item for eash listing that is not currently mapped to a Linnworks invetory Item using the information provided by the channel
 

Manually link listings to Linnwork Inventory Items

  • Select a listing in the left hand side
  • Use the search bar at the top of the right hand side to find the required Linnworks Inventory Item (Fig 4.1)
  • Double-click on the Linnworks Inventory item to create the link

Unlink

  • Right-Click on the required listing in the Inventory Mapping screen
  • Select Unlink
  • The link between the listing and the Linnworks Inventory item will be removed
 

Incompatible Items

 

An Incompatible item is one that Linnworks cannot link to its inventory.

Due to the limitation of Asp dot net storefront, Linnworks can not create a mapping for items that contain special characters in either the size or colour. This is due to format in which inventorty submissions are submitted in.

At present the only known incompatible character is the double quote. ["]

Before being allowed to link the items these characters will have to be removed.

 

To view the incompatible items, Select Show Incompatible

4. Check sync status

  • Right-Click on any listing in the Inventory Mapping screen
  • Select Show Sync Status (Fig 5.1)
  • The following new columns will be displayed (Fig 5.2)
    • UpdateDate ~ The date of the change made
    • LastUpdated ~ A message describing what happened
    • Qty ~ The quantity listed by Linnworks
