Stack Items Vertically

Packaging groups (as defined by order items) are checked in Prevalence order (highest number first) to compare the combined Order Item height and maximum width / depth dimensions to the Packaging Type dimensions to work out the correct Packaging Type to assign to the order. The steps used by Linnworks when working with this method are as follows
1. Retrieve a list of all Packaging Groups linked to the order items
• The list will be ordered by the Prevalence as defined on the Packaging Group
2. Calculate the Order total Weight
3. Retrieve the order item dimensions (Maximum Width / Stacked Height / Maximum Depth)
4. Calculate the volume of the order based on maximum dimension
5. Select Packaging type based on the following comparison
• Order Total Weight > Min Packaging Weight of the Packaging Type
• Order Total Weight <= Max Packaging Weight of the Packaging Type
• Order Volume <= Volume of the Packaging Type

4. Calculate Order Volume

• 200 * 370 * 40 = 2,960,000
5. Compare values to select appropriate Packaging Group / Type
