Test data

When you first log in to your Linnworks account, there will be some dummy data already in your system. The aim of the test data is to enable you to get used to the system gradually by introducing examples of features that are commonly used in Linnworks.

Table of Contents

Inventory items

Inventory items can be found by navigating to Inventory > My Inventory. The inventory items are highlighters. For easy identification, the test item SKUs are prefixed with "TEST_". There are 9 single items; 8 single colours and 1 prepacked set of 8 colours. There are also 8 composite items and a Variation Parent SKU.

Every single item has been given the following data:

  • General:
    • Item Title
    • Barcode
    • Purchase Price
    • Retail Price
    • Category
    • Metadata
  • Image
  • Postage definition:
    • Weight
  • Extended Properties:
    • Brand
    • GTIN
    • MPN
    • Colour
  • Inventory:
    • Bin/Rack
  • Composition (For composite items only)

This data can be seen by opening the Product Details screen, by clicking on the SKU in My Inventory. For more information about managing inventory items, please see our dedicated documentation.

Orders

Two orders have been imported into the system, they can be accessed by using the open orders screen; located in Orders > Open Orders.

Both orders are for single items and have been deliberately set up with a total of 0. This is so that they can be processed, if desired, without affecting financial data used in Linnworks. More information about orders can be found here.
