Cyber Security Software Developer

Job Description

The Linnworks Engineering team  is growing, and we’re looking for a Cyber Security Software Developer to join our Security team in Tallinn, Estonia.

What you'll do:

  • Participate in every stage of development related to Security Critical projects from design and brainstorming through actual implementation, including fixing that last critical bug under a tight release deadline
  • Examine software for potential cyber security vulnerabilities
  • Determine the best techniques and architectures to solve problems using the latest technologies
  • Track operational metrics related to alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities and be responsible to create and maintain appropriate documentation including process flows and technical procedures
  • Work as a part of the Cyber Security team alongside high-level specialists

Who you are:

  • You have experience in programming languages, especially C#, for 3+ years
  • You worked with databases e.g. MSSQL / PostgreSQL, etc
  • You have experience in scripting languages e.g.Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, PHP
  • You have an understanding of secure web communications and technologies
  • You are passionate about learning more about Cyber Security
  • You can fluently communicate in English


Bonus Skills:

  • You worked with AWS services
  • You participated in Windows / Linux server administration
  • You know about Monitoring solutions (ELK, Grafana, Zabbix, etc)
  • You have experience with penetration testing methodologies and frameworks
  • You have knowledge of vulnerabilities and exploits outside of tools suites
  • You have an understanding of cyber-attack methods such as malware, phishing, SQLi, XSS, DDoS, etc
  • You are able to pinpoint methods that attackers could use to exploit weaknesses and logic flaws
  • You know how to make Risk Assessment and Risk Analysis
  • You have familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g. PCI, SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001)

  • Telemetry: EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana), CloudWatch / CloudTrail, Grafana, Prometheus, Google Analytics, Customer Feedback
  • CI / CD: Jenkins, Automated Tests (XUnit, NSubstitute, Selenium, Allure Reports)
  • Server: Windows Server 2012 / 2016, Linux (Redhat, Amazon Linux AMI), IIS, Kestrel, Apache
  • Security: Malware detection, vulnerability scanning tools, configuration scanning, etc
  • Slack, JIRA, Git / Mercurial, G Suite, Lucidchart
