Coming back to Cross Border Trading, we wanted to open your eyes to eBay’s Global Shipping Program – eBay.com sellers that opt into the program benefit from having their items show up on eBay’s international search results, with the costs of international shipping and import charges pre-calculated automatically and added to the final price at the checkout.
Check out this two minute video from eBay on the Global Shipping Program:
As portrayed in the video, it’s a very simple process;
As some of you may have found out for yourself, if you do not include all of the right forms, or they aren't filled out correctly, your items will be held up in customs and may incur additional charges to the buyer.
The GSP also boasts enhanced seller protections, enabling you to ship internationally without the worry of negative seller performance feedback.
If International Sellers provide free domestic shipping to the US shipping center, they qualify for automatic 5-Star protection, meaning that if they receive a rating below 5 Stars for shipping and handling charges – it will have no impact on the seller performance standards.
Furthermore, if you ship with either same-day or 1-day handling, upload your tracking information within one 1 business day and deliver the item to the US shipping center within 4 business days, this exempts you from ratings below 5 stars for shipping time.
Again, this will have no impact on your seller performance ratings.
Any negative or even neutral feedback that can be attributed to the eBay's US global shipping program from item handling during international transit will be removed.
