eBay Inventory module is designed to stop you from overselling on eBay. eBay inventory allows linnworks to end listings automatically if stock or inventory is running low, revise listing to match the quantity in stock and relist if has been ended due to low stock when stock level is back to be greater than 0. The module automates three eBay trading activities:
This user quite describes how to set up the module and provides detailed explanation of how the module work and logic behind its workings.
Go to Settings > Automation > Stock Control > eBay Inventory Watch
Enable the module. The module rsquires eBay integration to be set up. Enable the taks you want Linnworks to perform
End Item if Stock Item is equal or below 0 -ends items if all the linked stock item in Linnworks reached 0 level (including whats in the order books, paid or unpaid)
Keep Quantity Available on eBay in line with stock levels - the system will update quantity available in eBay listing for each linked item.
Relist item which ended and stock level > 0 - if an item listing ended bacause it is sold or because listing time has expired the system will detect these items and attempt to relist if linked items in stock have stock levels greater than 0. Please note if you have Good Til Cancelled listings the system will attempt to relist them as well even if they have been relisted by eBay automatically.

Save the configuration.
During the next synchronization the system will pick up all created listing in the last 7 days and will keep track of them everytime you synchronize.
In order to make the module work safely, i.e. prevent the software from attempting to relist, end and alter listings which you don't want to be actioned upon for some reason (for example if you set up an item but not yet counted stocks or still in the process of transfering your operations to Linnworks). The system will no allow you to run this module on its own devices. Before the module takes any actions on eBay it will prompt you to get your confirmation.

During the synchronization, the prompt dialog for altering quantity, ending or relisting items will popup if the system detected an action that needs to be taken. The module will collect information about your listing habits, stock change patterns and relisting requirements and only then will allow you to set the module in automatic mode.
The module will keep track of all stock changes in Linnworks and verify that the quantity of items listed on ebay in a single listing does not exceed your stock level. For example, if you list Product A on eBay with 10 as available quantity. If you sold Product A through a website or Amazon, the system will change the quantity available on eBay to 9. Equaly if you have 3 listings of Product A in 3 different categories with 10 as available quantity in each. When Product A sells, the system will adjust all the other listings of Product A to 9.
Subsequently if you aquired new stock for Product A while the listings state 9 item available the system will change the quantity available back to 10. Hence all you need to do is to create a listing once and let the system modify stock levels for the item to make sure it matches to what you have in stock, making sure you will never oversell.
When stock runs out due to orders placed or scrapping of inventory, ideally you would need to go to eBay and end all the listings to make sure you don't sell what you no longer have. The system can automate this process by monitoring your listings and comparing it with the current stock levels. When stock level (including open orders) reaches 0, the system will attempt to stop the listing. If you have relisting option activated the software will then be able to relist the item once you have aquired new stock.
The system can automatically detect whether an item can be relisted after the eBay listing ended or has been ended on purposes. For example, if you have 1 of Product A in stock and you have sold it through Amazon or your own website, the system will automatically attempt to stop eBay listings for Product A on eBay due to 0 stock level, by displaying the Action Confirmation prompt. You can hold the relist until next synchronization, accept relisting or reject it. If rejected the system will not attapt to relist the same listing next time you synchronize. If you have listings with Good 'Til Canceled, the system will attempt to relist these listings as well, which may result in duplicated listings. To make sure you don't have duplicated listings set the option in eBay Inventory Watch under Settings > Automation to only relist if it has been stopped by linnworks on purpose due to low stock.
