Installing Linnworks (finaware R3) on 64bit machine

This document aimed to describe how to install Linnworks d server on 64bit machine. The 64bit operating systems are very fussy in terms of what and how they run things, the recommended method for installing Linnworks on 64bit machine is installing all the prerequisits manually and then run cut down Linnworks installer.

Installation

1) Install Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The file called SQLEXPR.EXE, simply execute the file and go through the installation as normal.
When you get to Registration information unmark Hide Advanced Configuration options as shown on the screenshot.

When you get to authentication mode, set the authentication to Mixed Mode and type in the password for system admin account (please remember this password as you will need it during the software installation)

Proceed to the installation with default settings to the end.

2) Install .Net Framework 2.0 64Bit edition (no special config settings necessary)
3) Install Microsoft J# Redistributable (no special config settings necessary)
4) Now launch linnworks installer as normal. When you get to the screen with Database Connection settings, enter the password for database connection (the password you have set during SQL Server installation).
